From October 20–26, the Azerbaijan Tourism Board under the State Tourism Agency, organized a familiarization trip to Azerbaijan for representatives of 19 leading tourism companies from China and 5 leading tourism companies from South Korea.

During the trip, participants explored not only the city of Baku but also the tourism potential of the regions of Shamakhi, Gabala, Shaki, and Gakh.

The familiarization visit also included B2B meetings between tourism industry representatives from Azerbaijan and China, as well as Azerbaijan and South Korea, where opportunities for collaboration were discussed.

It is worth noting that in the first nine months of 2025, more than 49,000 visitors arrived in Azerbaijan from China, representing a 51% increase compared to the same period last year, while over 13,000 visitors came from South Korea, marking a 10% increase year-on-year.
